She is Aohana Meiko Nisou the 33rd. A Meiko is a Priestess who is responsible for the protection of the Elements that make up our world; suiton, katon, futon, and doton. Known in the West as water, fire, wind, and earth. With the strength of those elements comes the ability to call on the Sacred Beast Gods who govern over each element respectively; Azure Dragon, Vermilion Bird, White Tiger, and Black Tortoise. Aohana is charged with the Suiton Scripture and the Azure Dragon that comes with it.

She does not like most things, but she might tolerate your presence if you don’t anger her like most people do. Her parents were a wealthy brother and sister who hid her away to hide their sin. They never named her, and she was treated lower then a dog, yelled at and called names often, and usually hit.. When she turned six, they could no longer hide her and dumped her in a random forest to die. She wondered for days before collapsing in a field of crimson bell flowers; that is where Koumyou Sanzo found her. He took her back to Kinzan Temple to nurse her back to health and with an okay from the Three Aspects, Koumyou adopted her as he did with Kouryuu and gave her the name Kikyo of the Bell Flowers.

She was a fast learner, quickly mastering martial arts and Buddhist power. When Koumyou died and Kouryuu left, she shut out all emotions. She survived the attack on Kinzan Temple because Shuuei tossed her into a near by river. She woke three days later in a Meiko Temple. From when the Priestesses found her on the river bank when she was thirteen until she was seventeen, she dedicated herself to becoming a Meiko in the hopes of finding Koumyou’s stolen scripture because she was not sure if Kouryuu was alive. The Azure Dragon, recognizing her will, chose her, and she was granted the holy name Aohana and the Meiko title.

She made her way to the Three Aspects who informed her that Genjo Sanzo was indeed alive. She then went to Keiun Temple. Her childhood crush turned into love upon seeing Genjo again. After a month at the Temple, they spent one…violently heated night together before Aohana left to find the voice that was calling out to her.

Chen style Tai Ji Quan is considered the senior branch of the five main Tai Ji Quan styles, and is derived from Chen Quan, a Shaolin Quan fighting style known for its ferocity.
